A youth leader in Rivers State Chisom Gbali has called on the youths in the State to shun political violence ahead of the forth coming re-run State and National and Assembly elections.
Chisom Gbali, who is the coordinator of National Youth Council of Nigeria NYCN, Oyigbo chapter advised the youths not to allow themselves to be used for political thuggery and ballot box snatching during the re-run elections.
He noted that the NYCN in Oyigbo will organize awareness programmes to enlighten the youths on the dangers of social vices during elections.
Chisom Gbali revealed that the youth council has already organized human capacity seminars for the youths in the area and also promised to do more for the teeming future leaders.
The NYCN Coordinator in Oyigbo also promised to partner with the Government in the area of youth development and job creation.
He noted that the youth will continue to set agenda for the government through constructive criticism and dialogue
