Kelechi Nwakali has confirmed that he has signed a five-year deal with Arsenal from Diamond Football Academy.
The Nigerian had also attracted the interest of Manchester City, Sporting Lisbon and Bayern Munich, but made the decision to continue his career with the Gunners, his childhood club instead.
“I just came back from London; I have signed a five-year contract with Arsenal,” Nwakali was quoted by Dailymail.co.uk.
“So many teams were interested in me but it has been my dream at a tender age to play for Arsenal.”
In January, Arsene Wenger revealed that the club were confident of completing a deal for Nwakali, as well as his Nigeria team-mate Samuel Chukwueze.
