Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendeshad the world on a string this past weekend, as they celebrated the actress’s 42nd birthday in style.
The famous couple, along with their 1-year-old daughterEsmeralda, rented out none other than Frank Sinatra’s infamous Palm Springs, CA vacation home for four days, ET reports.
The 4 bedroom, 7 bathroom house is a comfortable 4,500 sq. ft. and was built in 1947 for Old Blue Eyes and his wife, Nancy Barbato.
According to the rental website, one of the house’s sinks still has a chip on it that was rumored to have been created when Sinatra slammed a champagne bottle during an argument with Ava Garner.
The rental also comes complete with a recording studio, pool house and plenty of Sinatra memorabilia – all for a cool $2,600 a night, which puts the couple’s stay around $10,400 in total.
While the famous duo enjoyed nice weather and plenty of relaxation, there was one near road bump in the weekend. On their way to get takeout from Rick’s Desert Grill, Gosling narrowly avoided running over a dog that had darted into the street, according to ET.
Fortunately, the dog was not injured, and Gosling carried the pup back to its owner, making for what must have been one of the most adorable rescues of all time.
Gosling and Mendes have been dating since 2011, and during an interview with Hello! magazine in December, The Big Short actor gushed about meeting the perfect woman.
“I know that I’m with the person I’m supposed to be with,” Gosling said of his wife.
He also noted the one quality he’s looking for in a woman: “That she’s Eva Mendes. There’s nothing else I’m looking for.”
