President Muhammadu Buhari has turned down the request of leaders of the All Progressives Congress to bail  the party out of his financial mess
The APC is experiencing financial distress and has been unable to pay the salaries of its staff.
Buhari turned down the request of the leaders following allegations of financial mismanagement levelled against leaders of the party.
The leaders were accused of mismanaging the over N7billion campaign funds in the 2015 general elections.
Buhari is angry with the party leaders for failing to account for the funds and has therefore refused to support the party’s secretariat financially.
The leaders have now turned to state governors and ministers in a bid to survive
The meeting the leaders of the party had with Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at the Presidential Villa, on February 24, had as its major discussion, the financial crisis rocking the party.
