Danger was allegedly averted on Sunday when soldiers threatened to shoot Governor Nyesom Wike if he disobeyed their orders, reports NewsDay.
The incident  happened at the Mile one Police Station in Port Harcourt.
Trouble started when the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Collation Officer for Phalga Ward 10 was barricaded by the security operatives attached to Governor Wike at the police station.
Ekwi Adebisa, the Ward 10 Collation Officer was about declaring the collated results for Ward 10 ,when the leaders of th Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the area alerted Governor Wike who stormed the station to ascertain while the INEC officer had to abscond with the results sheets since Saturday.
The Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area had also alerted the Minister of Transportation Chibuike Amaechi who came in company of the Director General of NIMASA Dakuku Peterside, the acting MD of NDDC Â Ibim Seminntari and other APC Leaders.
Hundreds of soldiers who came with the minister asked Governor Wike to stay clear or else they will shoot.
Wike obeyed and stepped back until the INEC officer was whisked away by angry looking soldiers
