Following revelations that Senate President, Bukola Saraki was receiving salaries years after he vacated the seat as governor of Kwara State, check have revealed that 20 other former governors still enjoy the benefit.
The former governors, who are now senators or ministers under President Muhammadu Buhari are receiving pension payments from their state governments and are also drawing salaries from public purse as serving senators and ministers.
The former governors now senators are:

Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Kano),
Kabiru Gaya (Kano),
Godswill Akpabio (Akwa Ibom),
Theodore Orji (Abia),
Abdullahi Adamu (Nasarawa),
Sam Egwu (Ebonyi),
Shaaba Lafiagi (Kwara),
Joshua Dariye (Plateau)
Jonah Jang (Plateau).
Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko (Sokoto),
Ahmed Sani Yarima (Zamfara),
Danjuma Goje (Gombe),
Bukar Abba Ibrahim (Yobe),
Adamu Aliero (Kebbi),
George Akume (Benue)
Isiaka Adeleke (Osun).

Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers),
