Ahead of the planned Occupy Nigeria Season 2 protest in Port Harcourt, the All Progressives Congress APC Youth League has called on the State Governor Nyesom Wike to called the organizers to order.
The Occupy Nigeria Season 2 is being organized by some human rights activists to protest the lingering fuel scarcity and many on Thursday April 14th, 2016 in support of the protest.
The Coordinator of APC Youth League Abiye George said the planned protest was a move against the Federal Government. The Youth League coordinator stated that the protest was aimed at embarrassing and blackmailing the Muhammadu Buhari led federal government.
”the attention of the APC youth league, Rivers State coordinator has been drawn to a State sponsored moves to lead a protest against the Federal Government”
”We consider this a desperate bid by opponents of the Federal Government administration to embarrass, blackmail and cast aspersion on the federal government”.
”The proposed protest tagged ‘occupy Nigeria Season 2’ has the ulterior motive of embarrassing the Federal Government by using Rivers State fund to organize the said protest.”
The Coordinator of the APC youth league Abiye George also called on Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to be mindful of those who are pushing him against President Muhammadu Buhari. He stated that the planned protest would now breed more ground for counter protest.
”We cautioned Governor Nyesom Wike to be mindful of those who want to set him on logger heads against President Muhammadu Buhari. We wonder when Rivers State has become a breeding ground for all manner of protest as such attempt to organize any protest will lead to as counter protest”.
Abiye George revealed that the security of the State is very volatile as any attempt to allow such protest would lead to crisis.
”The security of the State is volatile any attempt to allow this to further degenerate to the precipice of sponsoring inconsequential protests will not be condoned by us”
”We call on Governor Nyesom Wike to call his boys and cronies to sheathe the idea of embarking on the said protest as that may lead to break down of Law and Order with a reciprocal counter protest”.
The APC Youth League coordinator also called on the protesters to join hands with the President in ending the lingering problems facing the country.
 He stated that the Muhammadu Buhari is aware of the hardship Nigerians are facing and is very optimistic that the President will tackle those issue to the betterment of the masses.
Abiye George also said that the fuel scarcity problems would now be a thing of the pass.
He added that Nigerians will soon begin to enjoy the administration of Muhammadu Buhari as he promised during his campaign period.
