Nigeria Professional Football League NPFL Clubs voted again on Wednesday via Zoom meeting since the league was shut down due to the COVID19 outbreak.

This is the third round of voting by the NPFL Clubs.

Majority of the clubs voted for the League to end & final table to be determined using the Point Per Game PPG format.

Rivers United insisted they should finish ahead of Enyimba.

Both teams were tied on the same points (1.80) after the adoption of PPG format.

Enyimba will finish second on head-to-head rules (One leg was played this season in Aba & Enyimba won).

After Wednesday’s meeting, if Goals’ difference were adopted Rivers United will finish second ahead of Enyimba.

Based on Goals difference; Plateau United top the league and will represent Nigeria at the CAF Champions League alongside Rivers United who will finish second on the table.

Enyimba fc will now represent the country at the CAF Confederation Cup.

However, all decisions are subject to final consultation by the League Management Committee LMC and the Nigeria Football Federation NFF.

The votes by the clubs’ chieftains were one of the four options tables by the League Management Company LMC on how to end the season disrupted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
