The National Executive Council of Ogoni Youth Federation OYF has re-affirmed the suspension of Legborsi Yemabana from the body.
The National Executive Council NEC of Ogoni Youth Federation OYF made this assertion during a press conference in Port Harcourt after an Emergency Extra-Ordinary meeting of the youth body following the alleged suspension of the Financial Secretary of the group Kingsley Dimkpa and Lene Kingsley Lekue.
Kingsley Dimkpa while reading a nine-point communiqué issued after the meeting condemned the activities of Legborsi Yemabana after he was suspended on the 21st of September 2018.
Dimkpa noted that the NEC and the Local Government Coordinators of OYF also frown at the advertorial published on national newspapers on July 7th and the visit of the Minister of Environment with the intention to victimize some Ogoni sons and drag their reputation to the mud.
The communiqué also asked the members of the public to disregard the suspension of Kingsley Dimkpa and Lene Kingsley Lekue by Legborsi Yemanbana and his associates.
The communiqué also affirmed Kingsley Dimkpa as the Acting President of Ogoni Youth Federation OYF after the National Executive Council and Local Government Coordinator passed a vote of confidence on him as the validly recognized President of OYF.
Also speaking, the Chairman of the Coordinators Forum of Ogoni Youth Federation Raymond Nwibani Marcus said the coordinators of OYF is giving their total support to Kingsley Dimkpa as the Acting President of the body.
Raymond Marcus said they are fed up with the leadership style of Legborsi Yemabana and called on the public to disregard the suspension of Kingsley Dimkpa.
He said the coordinators are still committed to the visions and ideals of OYF and believe that Kingsley Dimkpa will take OYF to the next level.
However, the Legborsi Yemabana led group had earlier suspended the financial Secretary Kingsley Dimpka and the Publicity Secretary Lene Lekue over alleged receipt of gratification and false representation of OYF.
The Yemabana led the group said they acted based on petitions brought against the two officers of OYF over gross misconduct.
They said the two OYF officers were suspended based on the recommendation of the NEC.
