All Progressives Congress chieftain in Rivers State Prince Tonye Princewill says he is ecstatic over the declaration of The Minister of Transport Rotimi Amaechi to run for president in 2023.
Princewill who spoke on the sidelines of the Thanks Giving service put together by The Rivers State Chapter of The All Progressives Congress in Port Harcourt, said the country needs him to run, saying “it’s not about selfish interest but about the interest of the country”.
“People can lay foundation that’s what Buhari did, if somebody lays a foundation you will not appreciate the building. Amaechi is coming to put the finishing touch to that building”.
The minister of transportation, Chibuike Amaechi had earlier in the day declared to run for President in 2023.
Saying it is his burning desire to serve the people is his driving force to become Nigeria’s President.
The minister of transportation however admitted that the country is facing serious challenges but said the problems did not start under the Buhari’s administration.
