The Monica Ezekiel Foundation in partnership with Bayelsa State Basketball Association has mapped out à one-day Basketball Tournament in Yenagoa to commémorate her birthday.
The Monica Ezekiel Foundation is an NGO set to ‘inspire excellence and build dreams.
The former St Jude’s Girls Secondary School Basketball player who recently graduated from the School of Nursing in America said the move was borne out of the desire to give back to her roots.
The one-day event features both male and female players as the winner will go home with 50,000 naira, second position with 30,000, and third place with 20,000.
Furthermore, the tournament will witness a full-court game with 8 players per team. Three point contest gets #5,000 while free throw contest also gets #5,000.
The one-day event is slated for April 13th @ 9am live at the Indoor Sports Hall Samson Siasia Sports Stadium, Yenagoa, Bayelsa State.
