A pro-People Democratic Party PDP group in Rivers State, Asalga 13 for Wike has provided financial empowerment to over 100 traders in the phase one business empowerment scheme in the 13 wards of Asari-Toru Local Government Area.
Asari-Toru is a local government in the kalabari speaking area of Rivers State.
The group said the aim is to promote small and medium scale enterprises SMEs in the area.
The Vision Bearer of Asalga 13 for Wike ONENGIYEOFORI GEORGE during the first phase of the business empowerment in Buguma said the gesture is to reward loyal members of PDP.
ONENGIYEOFORI GEORGE also said that the group will mobilize support for incumbent Governor of Rivers Chief Barr, Nyesom Wike, PDP Presidential Candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, and all PDP candidates both at the National Assembly and State House of Assembly come 2019.
The Chairman of Asalga 13 for Wike DAIBI AMACHREE in his address urged the beneficiaries of the business empowerment to use the capital to boost their businesses.
He said that the group will set up a committee o monitor the progress made by the beneficiaries of the scheme.
Daibi Amachree stated that those that invest their capital in their businesses would be rewarded with another scheme next year.
