An Educationist Ferdinand Iroegbu has called on Christians to use the season of Christmas to show love to their neighbours and the society.
Ferdinand Iroegbu while speaking at the end of year party of Cherry Pearl Foundation School in Port Harcourt asks parents to spend quality time with their kids during the Christmas holidays.
She said that Children who have the love of their parents at home excel in their academic pursuits.
Iroegbu who is the Proprietress of Cherry Pearl Foundation School in New Road, Mgbuoba Port Harcourt also advised Nigerians to plan very well before spending any kobo this holiday period.
”My advice to the parents is that they should live an exemplary life to the children. If you look at the mirror whatever you see in the mirror if it is beautiful for you let it be a good one. If it is not beautiful you turn your back and make yourself beautiful”.
”They are going home, we have advice on how they will treat the children, whatever you do the children are watching you. This a time that the children have to be with their parents for at least three weeks before resumption”.
In doing this, they will ensure that the children bond with them better now and then again they should be careful with things they do at all times to allow the children to emulate something wonderful so as they are returning we are not going to start afresh again” she said.
Mrs. Ferdinand Iroegbu during the end of year party also wished parents, staff and pupils of Cherry Pearl Foundation School a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year celebrations.
She said the management of the school will continue to pray for their safety during and after the yuletide period.
Highlights of the party include raffle draw, dance, songs amongst others.
