This is the story of Clement Efemi popularly known as Clem B, who runs RD barbers shop at Rumuokania New Layout, Rumuokwuta in Port Harcourt Rivers State.
Clement’s story is one among many small and medium entreprisesSMEs across the country who have been badly affected by the coronavirus pandemic.
”There is so much fear among our clients, because they are afraid of contracting covid-19. The situation is really critical because we can’t make upto 30% of our initial profit before the coronavirus pandemic”.
”Before we used to have upto 50 clients before during weekends but now we hardly get more than 10 persons”.
”My advise to the government is to encourage the masses by creating awareness about the virus. I want the government to allow business to operate under strict guidelines. The government should priortize the use of facemasks and hand sanitizers in business places to curtail the spread of the virus”.
Clement Efeni also prayed to God for a quick end of coronavirus so that businesses can return to normal.
He, however, advised youths to continue to be good ambassadors of the country and their family and asked them to continue to engage in meaningful ventures that put food on their table.
