Council Chairman warns appointees against making unguarded statements capable of breaching peace in the area

The Chairman of Asari Toru Local Government Area in Rivers State, Hon. Onengiyeofori George DSSRS, has announced that the Local Government Area is not at war.

The Chairman made this known at an extraordinary meeting with political appointees, held at the Council’s Hall of Fame in Buguma City, headquarters of Asari-Toru Local Government Area.

The Asalga helmsman called on all appointees to be guided in their utterances on and off social media platforms so as not to give room for volatility in the political hemisphere in Asalga.

While still speaking, Hon. George reaffirmed his unalloyed loyal to his political father and leader, the former Governor of Rivers State, and current Minister of the FCT, His Excellency, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, CON, GSSRS, Life Bencher.

The Asalga Council Boss also warned against double standards amongst his team stating that some people are seeking to reap where they have not sown.

He also made it clear that he is fully in the Peoples Democratic Party, and in-charge of the LGA.

Responding on behalf of the Appointees, the Executive Assistant on Chieftaincy Affairs and the Amanyanabo of Omekwe-ama, HRH King Apadikiari Live Apadikiari, thanked the Executive Chairman for always cooperating with his executive council in decision-making.

He also pledged the continuous support of the people of Omekwe-ama and other communities in the LGA to the Executive Chairman, while highlighting the gains of the Hon. Onengiyeofori George led AsalgaFirst administration, describing the Asalga Chief Executive as a trailblazer.
